Tool Man

If john converted to technology, it would be so benificail, like if he carried around a PDA with GPs system on it then there would not be any need for a large map to carry around, as it is a world map in a small device which tells you which way to go as you approach turns, roundabouts and junctions, rather than having to pull over to look at a map, so it also saves time aswell as space. GPS also gets information on accidents and will recalculate routes to save time, and divert/aviod the oncome accident.

Acivity 14-Science Museums Website, Analized

The 'Making The Modern World' website is a very easy and interactive way in which anybody can access their desired page/s they wish to view.

They use the contrasting colours of greys and whites to give a modernistic effect, then they throw in a bright eye catching yellow to complete the modern effect as much media in this day in age uses the greyscale with a random colour involved. They also have little yellow arrows pointing to the links in grey, although changing white when hovering above, to make them stand out.

When clicking a link, in this example i will go with 'Storkies Timeline' link, it takes you to another page with little information on. It does however contain a time line interactive tool, slide bar, which takes you to other areas in time, if you scroll to the specific area you desire and click the subject.

eBay Activity.

Ebay orginated in America, San Jose, California, its' origanal name was AuctionWeb on 3rd September 1995, the founders name was Pierre Omidyar. The first item sold was a broken laser pointer, and the buyer was a collector of such items. Ebay was built for Omidyar's fiancée to trade Pez Despensers.

The first employee hired was a man name Jeffory Skoll, he was made first president of the business, it then entered its' first third party deal with another auction site, and started to sell plane tickets and other travel products. they changed their name to eBay officailly in September 1997, it was planned to be called EchoBay as Pierre Omidyar worked for their firm, but the site name was taken by a echo bay mine so it was shortend down to eBay.

Meg Whitman was hired as the president and CEO of eBay, at this time they had 30 employees, half a million users and revenues of $4.7billion, in the US. eBay went public on 21st September 1998 and both Omidyar and Skoll became instant billionaires. ebays target share price of $18 was ignored as on the first day of trading it hit $53.50.

As the company expanded, so did its product range and catagories, it went from collectables, into almost any salable item. Febuary 2002 the company bought IBazar a small aution site then went on later to buy PayPal in Ocober 2002.

5 Day Forcast (GMTV)

This Is GMTV's Forecast for the next five days. It was very easy to access as all you need to enter is your postcode or location and it will (depending if you spelt your location correctly) display the prodicted weather forecast. The site displays a message saying what the weather will be (e.g. sunny, heavy rain ect..) with a corresponding picture above, it also gives the predicted max. min. tempratures for the up coming days.

The purposes of email are to better our communication,
as it's a cheap and easy way to talk, and/or discuss matters
and keep track of them with one another, it's also to send files..
such as image, documents (e.g word documents) and
sound files. But you can also do that via IM which is quicker
to communicate but then again it email is a quicker way of
transfering files, although email has a sending limit as does IM'ing,
but E-Mail has a really tight restrictions, on file transfer limits.

For what the purpose E-Mail is intended for, it meets its expectations,
but when compared to IM'ing there is massive room for improvment
especially on the speed transfer abilities of it.

how r u 2day?
wubu2 l8ly?
u lke ICT?

This Was a Japanese Haiku poem sent to me via e-mail.
It translates as:

How Are You Today?
What You Been Up To Lately?
You Like ICT?

I sent the Translation in a reply via, sms message, IM (instant messaging) and E-Mail.
IM is the quickest source of communication, Depending on the signal SMS, and E-mail, maybe quicker.
As for SMS, if you do not have signal you may not send the message, although
they also must have signal to recieve the message. So the time taken can vary.
